The resort include Santa's own house, where Santa ans his wife receive visitors. Elves will serve hot drinks and ginger biscuits
during your visit.
Near Santa's house will be a large reindeer pen, where you can see
some of Santa's and his elves' reideer and even drive a reindeer-drawn
sledge in winter! The reindeer elf will serve hot drinks and snacks
beside an open fire in a Lapp shelter.
In summer reindeer roam freely in the area, which has two peat shelters for them to use in hot weather. This is agood place for visitors to see and photograph reindeer.
Santa and his elves have built a long,10-metre high bridge over a
bog to gold Creek, where a gold elf lives in his own hut. In summer the
gold elf will dig for gold together with the other elves in Gold Creek.
Santa and the smith elf have a secret recipe that allows them to
create millions of presents from the gold dug by gold elf. You can see
the light sparkling when the gold elf pitches gold nuggets into his
forge and presents fly around the world like text messages.
In summer visitors can pan for gold at Santa's Resort under the
direction ot the gold elf and other elves. You can keep the nuggets you
find. The gold elf guarantees that everybody will find
atleast one nugget and often more. The gold elf "Räyhä" has found
several large nuggets in Gold Creek. The biggest weighed 30 grams!
In winter Santa's Resort will naturally have a hill for sledding, located beside a cafe and a souvenir shop.
You can experience all this in two hours with the elves as guides.
Santa's Resort Kakslauttanen is located in the Saariselkä area, 4
kilometers west of Holiday and Igloo Village Kakslauttanen. You can
come by car and in winter by snowmobile or with a husky team.
